Rules & Instructions
- Graduating seniors who attend Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland and will be first generation college students are eligible to apply
- Scholarship will pay for education beyond high school including College, Community College or Professional Certification Program
- Financial aid counseling is provided to all applicants to maximize available aid and scholarships sources
- Scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,500 are provided to winning applicants based on demonstrated need with no restrictions based on immigration status. DACA, Undocumented, Green Card and U.S. Citizens students are welcomed.
- Applications are made available online each year during November. All applications must be completed by February 1. The application is designed to be uncomplicated to encourage participation.
- The Selection Committee is recruited by Ms. Bailey or the named Chairperson. The Committee will only include Montgomery Blair High School Alumni, who must have graduated at least five years ago.
- The Selection Committee will define the selection criteria, evaluate the scholarship applications and present the scholarships to the winners at an annual awards reception or at a Montgomery Blair High School Alumni event.
